There are a lot of followers ob the road to ruin. That‘s when a cruel devil called Mephistopheles rushes into Doktor Faust, the protagonist in Goethes tragedy „Faust 1“, trying to seduce him with dark magic and frenzy.
In this unisex spring summer 2017 collection „#despudelskern“, a part of the
tragedy is satirically transferred into our decade; an era dominated by social media and the pursuit of perfection. Who has got more followers on Instagram? Which partypic is most popular on Facebook? It‘s all about filters and retouching. The design within this collection should reflect this self-deception, just as the illusion created for the environment. It should display the dichotomy between obvious incidents and things we can only see if we change the angle.

The collection tells the story of a free, striving soul on the road of evil. and the feeling of getting a chance to do and get everything you truly desire.

There are just geometrical prints used to have a commun ground and to create the illusion of 2D to 3D by build-in elements. If you look straight on the outfit you can‘t see those elements, but when

you change the angle, the 3D-effect

is visible. Cut outs serve as windows

to the soul to create tension between

the two opposites. Another really

dominant illusion is used in various

Jumpsuits. The garment is looking

like consisting of 2 or 3 parts but is

actually just one.  The single pieces

are for example sewn together on

the front part and hanging loose on

the backside, to support the

described illusion.
