My journey started when I discovered my interest in sketching. At first I just sketched everything i saw, people, faces, nature, architecture. I would have never thought that that would be a great influence for my work as a designer. But as I grew up, I discovered the world of fashion and my drawings got more precise. How does a loose dress made of fine silk moves in the wind? I started capturing the characteristics of different fabrics in my drawings. I also developed a special interest in prints and how they can influence a piece of clothing.

2012

After my „Abitur“(german A-levels) I knew exactely that I wanted to study fashion design. In 2012 I started to attend classes at „Fahmoda“ in Hannover, Germany. There I had the opportunity to gain experience expecially in fashion theories, drawing, and the design itself. I also could complete an education as a pattern maker and costum tailor meanwhile, which  helped me realising my designs in the best way possible.

Then, right after my successful graduation at the fashion academy in

2016

I moved forward and started to gain my first insight in the business by taking the chance to do an internship at "FKK- Harm &Jopp Jerseys" in Hamburg for the summer. As this label is only working with jersey, I had the opportunity to gain new knowledge when it comes to the properties of the material and its handling, not only regarding sewing it, but also the peculiarities I have to keep in mind when creating a pattern for this kind of fabric. After this internship I felt a lot more confident with Jersey as a material, and with me as a designer.  But also as a person I think I really had the chance to grow because of the great team I worked within.

2016/17

At the end of summer, I felt like I want to get more detailed knowledge about fashion, the practice and my own workwise and I decided to continue studying for a bit and then enrolled at the "university of Huddersfield", UK for the MA fashion and textile practices. After a wide research of what I want to focus on during this one - year period, I chose "future materials and smart colours" as my topic to proceed further and in the end produce a collection again.

08/2017

Now, being nearly at the end of my degree, it definitely helped me figuring out who I am as a designer and what I want to do in the future. I do not only see myself as a pure fashion designer, but also as a textile and print designer. I think the combination of both and the ability to think about their relation is my unique strength I figured out in this one year abroad.

11/2017 - now

As I am now officially a Master's graduate with a distinction, I started working for a small label called "questo savage" designing menswear casual clothing. after a really short time, I was already responsible for the whole collection, from sourcing, planning to finally doing sketches and techpacks, communicating and dealing with our suppliers in China, Bangladesh and India.
